Simple. Pulpy. Effective.

Along with the announcement of the title was the release of this publicity photo featuring, from left to right, director Denis Villeneuve, executive producer Ridley Scott, Harrison Ford, who will be reprising his role as Rick Deckard, and Ryan Gosling in a currently unknown role.

There’s a little more to the photo.

We see the cocktail glass Deckard drank from in his apartment in the original Blade Runner.

And there are a couple of weapons, including Deckard’s signature dual-barrel pistol.

Meanwhile, did Harrison Ford already shoot Indiana Jones 5 and is it going to be called, Indiana Jones and the Fountain of Youth? That’s exactly what Ford seems to have found. He looks more youthful and fit here than he was ten years ago. The Force may have just simply awakened inside him while shooting Star Wars. He found something there. A rejuvenation. That twinkle in his eye that we haven’t seen in a long time. And he clearly has it right here in the publicity photo.

In addition to Ford and Gosling, the film also stars Jared Leto, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, and Dave Bautista.

Blade Runner 2049 blasts into cinemas onĀ October 6, 2017.
