Fantasmic!, the Mark Twain Riverboat, the Sailing Ship Columbia, Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer’s Island, and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes will all be back.
The Disneyland Railroad is certain to be a highlight of the reopening, providing new vantage points of the park never before seen. Judging from the concept art, the area where the train meanders over an elevated trestle, past cascading waterfalls, rocks and landscaping, looks particularly breathtaking.
It’s great to see the special care Disney is taking to honor and enhance this area while creatively and cleverly disguising the massive Star Wars Land just on the other side of the trestle so as not be a visual intrusion. Star Wars Land may represent the future of Disneyland, but the Rivers of America exemplifies the very best of Disneyland.
